Cinchapi Data Platform one of seven startups chosen to participate in prestigious logistics provider’s innovation program.

ATLANTA, GA. June 19, 2017 – Continuing its momentum after winning the Atlanta Startup Battle in April, data startup Cinchapi today announced that Wincanton, a leading third party logistics (3PL) and supply chain provider in the United Kingdom and Ireland has selected the company and its data platform for Wincanton’s W² Labs Program. W² Labs is a new program aimed at challenging startups from around the world to develop innovative solutions to logistical challenges.

“We’re excited to have drawn the interest of Wincanton, Britain’s largest logistics and supply chain provider,” said Cinchapi CEO and Founder, Jeff Nelson. “Cinchapi was purpose-built to provide exploratory discovery and analytics for real-time data. With so much of the logistics industry reliant upon making timely and informed decisions from real-time data, we look forward to putting the platform to the test in partnership with Wincanton and its W² Labs initiative.”

While the concept of “Big Data” has been drawing much attention from across multiple industries, the ability to easily and efficiently explore and analyze data is becoming mission critical in the logistics space. Wincanton and other 3PL leaders are embracing technologies which can tackle the problems head-on.  “W² Labs is a programme for startups to pitch their ideas and potentially see them used in our business. It’s just one of our initiatives to embrace innovation and to keep Wincanton at the forefront of the logistics industry,” said Marcos Hart, Wincanton’s Business Optimization and Transformation Director. “We believe working with startups via the W² Labs programme will allow us to drive the future of the UK logistics industry by tapping into their passion, desire to succeed and creativity.”

Cinchapi’s data platform uses machine learning to be able to interpret and understand any data in any format. Machine learning also makes quick work of data prep and cleanup, so analysts, scientists, and business leaders can explore real-time and conventional data with ad-hoc, context-aware, and conversational questions in just a few minutes. Among Cinchapi’s features and benefits, the platform works to automatically uncover otherwise hidden patterns, anomalies, and relationships which may exist across disconnected data sources. Once discovered, the data platform can function like a “Time Machine for Data” allowing users to rewind time to see how these hidden connections were created and then see how they evolved over time.

Asking questions is the first step in Cinchapi’s Ask, See, and Act workflow. The platform’s contextual natural language interface allows users to ask questions of the data with common English words and phrases – there is no need to use a cryptic query language in an effort to “solve for x”. Next, the platform’s data analytic engine lets users see the results via vivid visualizations alongside easily understood text-based responses. Lastly, users of Cinchapi can act in a number of compelling ways. These include the ability to quickly identify interesting data which warrants further investigation by a human, it can generate code snippets for use in data-driven applications, and the data platform can now trigger or dynamically modify enterprise automation workflows.
